Today, the House Committee on Natural Resources unanimously passed a slate of five bills, three of which were Republican-led. House Committee on Natural Resources Ranking Member Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) issued the following statement in response:
"I'm so pleased to see this committee's members reaching across the aisle to accomplish bipartisan wins for their constituents. While these bills may not seem like big issues in D.C., I know firsthand how land transfers and other bipartisan actions can be monumental for folks back home. I hope the full House passes this legislation soon."

The committee reported out a total of five bills:
H.R. 6651, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Don Young (R-Alaska), establishes an Alaska Salmon Research Task Force.
H.R. 1638, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.),directs the Secretary of Agriculture to transfer certain National Forest System land to the state of South Dakota.
H.R. 5093, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Jamie Herrera Beutler (R-Wash.), directs the Secretary of Agriculture to transfer certain National Forest System land in the state of Washington to Skamania County, Wash.
H.R. 920, sponsored by U.S. Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.),amends the Act entitled "Act to provide for the establishment of the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic Site in the State of Kansas, and for other purposes" to provide for inclusion of additional related sites in the National Park System.
H.R. 2626, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly (D-Ill.), redesignates the Pullman National Monument in the State of Illinois as the Pullman National Historical Park.
The bills now await a vote by the full House of Representatives.
