The House Committee on Natural Resources Republican Staff hosts internships for both college students and graduates. The ideal candidate should have education, experience, and/or interest in natural resource policy, possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and have superior written and oral communications skills. Interns will have opportunities to directly support the full committee and subcommittees on a wide range of Committee activities and policy issues.
Intern responsibilities will vary. Interns will interact with committee staff and Members, provide research support to subcommittee staff, attend hearings and briefings, and other work to support the Committee. As a result, interns will learn about the legislative process, and the many other functions of a committee. This is a full-time paid internship. Accommodations may be made to internship start/end dates and hours to accommodate students’ course schedules, but are generally considered 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Candidates should be at least 18 years of age and must be either a U.S. citizen or in the U.S. legally.
Interested applications should email a resume, cover letter, and two letters of recommendation to HNRRepublicanInternships@mail.house.gov with the subject line “<Applicant First and Last Name> - HNR Internship”
