Grijalva Amendment #050 – Expands Federal Authority (Failed 18-24. View Roll Call Vote)
This amendment would expand existing authority for BLM and the Forest Service to enter into cooperative agreements with States for forest restoration activities, subject to certain conditions. Chairman Hastings supports existing authority but prefers to conduct further oversight on the issue before expanding.

Heinrich Amendment in the Nature of a Substitute – Authorize Extension of Secure Rural Schools, PILT (Failed 18-25. View Roll Call Vote)
This amendment would replace current bill language with a five-year reauthorization of Secure Rural Schools and mandatory PILT payments. A straight reauthorization of Secure Rural Schools payments is simply an extension of the status quo that is harming rural communities and does not create jobs, stimulate local economies or address forest health.
