  • H.R. 4019 (Hastings of WA), To increase employment and educational opportunities in, and improve the economic stability of, counties containing Federal forest land, while also reducing the cost of managing such land, by providing such counties a dependable source of revenue from such land, and for other purposes. "Federal Forest County Revenue, Schools, and Jobs Act of 2012"

COMMITTEE ACTION:

The Committee on Natural Resources met in an open markup session on Thursday, February 16, 2012, and considered the following bills:

H.R. 4019 (Hastings of WA), To increase employment and educational opportunities in, and improve the economic stability of, counties containing Federal forest land, while also reducing the cost of managing such land, by providing such counties a dependable source of revenue from such land, and for other purposes. "Federal Forest County Revenue, Schools, and Jobs Act of 2012"

Adopted and favorably reported to the House of Representatives, as amended, by a roll call vote of 26 yeas and 17 nays, and 1 present.

H.R. 1837 (Nunes), To address certain water-related concerns on the San Joaquin River, and for other purposes. "San Joaquin Valley Water Reliability Act" The Subcommittee on Water and Power was discharged from further consideration of HR 1837 by unanimous consent.

An amendment in the nature of a substitute (ANS) was offered by Mr. McClintock.

The amendment in the nature of a substitute, as amended, was AGREED TO by voice vote.
