House Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings (WA-04) released the following statement on the December jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

“It is good news that more jobs were added to the economy last month, however millions of Americans remain unemployed and there is still much more that needs to be done to revive our sluggish economy. House Republicans have put forth a Plan for America’s Job Creators and have passed nearly 30 jobs bills that remain stuck in the Senate. This includes numerous bills from the Natural Resources Committee that would expand American energy production, create over a million jobs and decrease our dependence on foreign oil. This year the Natural Resources Committee will continue to advance job-creating legislation and hope the Democrat-controlled Senate will join us in our effort to put Americans back to work.”
