Strong Majority of Americans Support Keystone Pipeline

Keystone XL pipeline is a proven job-creator and vital to America’s energy future.

In a new poll by United Technologies/National Journal, 67% of respondents support building the Keystone XL pipeline to carry Canadian oil to refineries in the U.S. Gulf Coast. This most recent poll also shows that even 56% of Democrats support the project.

The Keystone XL Pipeline has been tied up in red tape by the Obama Administration for nearly five years. Over 1,700 days ago, the application to build this energy project was submitted to the U.S. State Department and for over 1,700 days the American people have been waiting for the Obama Administration to stop leading from behind.

In May, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3, a bill to remove roadblocks to allow for the approval and construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.

There is no timeline for a decision from the White House, but public opinion has been consistent in support of the project.
