Today, House Republicans marked the first 100 days of the 118th Congress. House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) released the following statement in response: "House Republicans have been delivering on their promises in the Commitment to America over the course of these historically productive 100 days. The House Committee on Natural Resources has been at the forefront of this effort as we passed H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, and delivered real solutions for hardworking Americans. Advancing policies for an economy that’s strong and that support a clean, healthy environment, the committee conducted 18 hearings - including field hearings in California and Texas - signed 39 members onto eight oversight inquiries and passed three bills off the House floor. We will continue to deliver on House Republicans' Commitment to America as we get our country back on track." Background Under Republican leadership, Congress has delivered solutions for every American. The House Committee on Natural Resources has been integral in this effort due to the committee's work on energy issues with the passage of H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, which includes seven Natural Resources Committee bills. |
