Today, House Committee on Natural Resources Ranking Member Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) announced U.S. Rep. Connie Conway (R-Calif.) will be serving on the committee for the remainder of the 117th Congress.

"I'm so pleased to welcome Congresswoman Conway to our team," Westerman said. "She brings a wealth of natural resources knowledge to the table, particularly from her experience living and working in California where long-term water solutions are desperately needed. I know she'll hit the ground running and be a valuable asset to our committee for the rest of this year. I'm honored to have the opportunity to work with her!"

"Serving on the Natural Resources Committee is an incredible honor, and I look forward to working with Ranking Member Westerman and my colleagues on the committee," Conway said. "As a life-long Central Valley resident, I understand the diverse water and energy challenges impacting the livelihoods of Central Valley residents and farmers. I look forward to working with my colleagues to address the drought and rising energy costs by modernizing outdated environmental laws and improving water storage infrastructure."

Background

Conway won a special election for California's 22nd congressional district in June 2022, filling the seat vacated by former U.S. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.). She will serve on the Subcommittee on Water, Oceans and Wildlife and the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources.
