Today, Ranking Republican Rob Bishop (R-Utah) released the following statement on the announced cancellation of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline project and the court decision to stall the development of the Dakota Access Pipeline: “Affordable and accessible energy is vital to economic prosperity. Having the world's most abundant and clean energy sources and the most stringent environmental laws means nothing without means of transport. Today’s ruling on the Dakota Access Pipeline and yesterday’s cancellation of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline are more reminders that activist judges and special interest litigants are determining the fate of our national and energy security. These developments should be deeply concerning for every American at every socio-economic level." |
