Today, Ranking Republican Rob Bishop (R-Utah) released the following statement on President Trump’s speech promoting a clean and healthy environment for all Americans. The speech included content on the largest public lands legislation signed in a decade, S. 47, the Natural Resources Management Act, and actions by the Trump administration to improve natural resources management and to prevent devastating forest fires.    

“President Trump further proves that the Lands Package passed earlier this Congress was a grand slam. Thanks to solid leadership within the Trump administration, we have expanded recreational opportunities, promoted conservation, encouraged land stewardship, and this is only the beginning.”
