Broad, Bipartisan Support for Protecting Hunting & Fishing Rights on Public Lands

Today, the House of Representatives will consider H.R. 3590, the Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act. This bipartisan package of bills seeks to protect hunting and fishing activities on public lands and protect the use of traditional ammunition and fishing tackle.

This bipartisan legislation is cosponsored by the Republican and Democrat Chairs of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus, Bob Latta of Ohio and Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, and Caucus Vice-Chairs Rob Wittman of Virginia and Tim Walz of Minnesota. Additionally, this bipartisan legislation is supported by a broad coalition of 36 sportsmen organizations.
