This bill would extend a bipartisan pilot project to implement forest management activities on 70,000 acres per year in Northern California to address the declining forest health and rural economies.

Bishop Amendment #1 – Technical Amendment (Agreed to by Voice Vote.)
This amendment would give the Forest Service more flexibility in amending its land and resource management plans within the pilot project area and makes two technical corrections.

Garamendi Amendment.AM1 – Reduce Term of Pilot Project (Not Agreed to by Voice Vote.)
This amendment would decrease the extension of the term of the pilot project, places additional requirements on expanding the pilot project area, and strikes two provisions in the underlying legislation.
