This bill reaffirms that fishing, hunting, and shooting are important and traditional activities that should continue on Forest Service (FS) and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands. The bill provides a clear legislative basis for protecting sportsmen and wildlife management agencies from anti-hunting and fishing litigation and administrative gridlock.

Grijalva Amendment #052 – Furthers the Prohibitions of Certain Activities Barred in Designated Wilderness Areas (Failed 17-24. View Roll Call Vote)
This amendment restates the ban on oil and natural gas development, mining, logging or motorized recreation in Wilderness areas

Grijalva Amendment #053 – Allows for Additional Shooting Sport Restrictions (Failed 16-26. View Roll Call Vote)
This amendment would give BLM additional power to restrict shooting sports in portions of public land covered by the bill.
