Video Blog: Natural Resources Committee Jobs Watch - Rep. Lamborn

Lamborn: Our vast energy and mineral reserves would give our economy a huge boost and get Americans back to work.

House Natural Resources Committee Republicans are committed to putting Americans back to work by enacting policies that embrace America’s abundant natural resources to help create jobs and grow our economy.  The Committee continues its Job Watch series this week with Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee Chairman Doug Lamborn from Colorado’s Fifth Congressional District.

Critical and strategic minerals are fundamental to our everyday lives. These minerals appear in everything from the battery of your cell phone and motor vehicle to life-saving medical devices. Rep. Lamborn’s bill, H.R. 2011, the National Strategic and Critical Minerals Policy Act of 2011, would promote domestic production of minerals vital to our economy. This legislation is the first step in a process that will increase our access to critical minerals in our country.
