Full Committee Mark Up


On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at 9:15 a.m., in room 1324 Longworth House Office Building, the Committee on Natural Resources will hold a mark-up on the following bills:

  • H.R. 1607 (Rep. Schweikert), To clarify jurisdiction with respect to certain Bureau of Reclamation pumped storage development, and for other purposes;
  • H.R. 2839 (Rep. Hoyle), To amend the Siletz Reservation Act to address the hunting, fishing, trapping, and animal gathering rights of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and for other purposes; and
  • H.R. 4374 (Rep. Crane), “Energy Opportunities for All Act.”

The Committee on Natural Resources met in open session on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, to consider the following measures. Per Committee Rule 9(f) and House Rule XI, clause 2(e), amendments adopted will be posted within 24 hours, and roll call votes and all other amendments offered will be posted no later than 48 hours after the vote is taken. H.R. 1607 (Rep. Schweikert), To clarify jurisdiction with respect to certain Bureau of Reclamation pumped storage development, and for other purposes.

The Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife and Fisheries was discharged from further consideration of H.R. 1607.

  • Representative Westerman (R-AR) offered an amendment in the nature of a substitute to H.R. 1607 designated Westerman ANS_035.

The amendment was adopted by unanimous consent.

H.R. 1607, as amended, was ordered favorably reported to the House of Representatives by unanimous consent.

H.R. 2839 (Rep. Hoyle), To amend the Siletz Reservation Act to address the hunting, fishing, trapping, and animal gathering rights of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, and for other purposes.

The Subcommittee on Indian and Insular Affairs was discharged from further consideration of H.R. 2839.

H.R. 2839 was ordered favorably reported to the House of Representatives by unanimous consent.

H.R. 4374 (Rep. Crane), To nullify Public Land Order No. 7923, withdrawing certain land in San Juan County, New Mexico, from mineral entry. “Energy Opportunities for All Act.”

The Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources was discharged from further consideration of H.R. 4374.

  • Representative Leger Fernández (D-NM) offered an amendment designated Leger Fernández #1.

The amendment was not agreed to by a roll call vote of 15-21.

  • Representative Leger Fernández (D-NM) offered an amendment designated Leger Fernández #2.

The amendment was withdrawn via unanimous consent.

H.R. 4374 was ordered favorably reported to the House of Representatives by roll call vote of 22-16.
