On Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in 1324 Longworth House Office Building (Hearing Room), the Committee on Natural Resources is scheduled to hold a markup to consider the following bills:

  • H.R. 306 (Rep. Hice), To direct the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of the site of the Kettle Creek Battlefield Study Act in Wilkes County, Georgia, and adjacent property, and for other purposes. “Kettle Creek Battlefield Study Act.”
  • H.R. 496 (Rep. Soto), To direct the Director of the United States Geological Survey to establish a program to map zones that are at greater risk of sinkhole formation, and for other purposes. “Sinkhole Mapping Act of 2019.”
  • H.R. 895 (Rep. Dusty Johnson), To allow tribal grant schools to participate in the Federal Employee Health Benefits program. “Tribal School Federal Insurance Parity Act.”
  • H.R. 1702 (Rep. Steube), To waive the application fee for any special use permit for veterans demonstrations and special events at war memorials on Federal land, and for other purposes. “Free Veterans from Fees Act.”
  • H.R. 2640 (Rep. Haaland), To withdraw certain Bureau of Land Management land from mineral development. “Buffalo Tract Protection Act.”
  • H.R. 3068 (Rep. Keating), To establish an offshore wind career training grant program, and for other purposes. “Offshore Wind Jobs and Opportunity Act.”
  • H.R. 3160 (Rep. O’Halleran), To direct the Secretary of the Interior to take certain land located in Pinal County, Arizona, into trust for the benefit of the Gila River Indian Community, and for other purposes. “Blackwater Trading Post Land Transfer Act.”
  • H.R. 3465 (Rep. Napolitano), To authorize the Fallen Journalists Memorial Foundation to establish a commemorative work in the District of Columbia and its environs, and for other purposes. “Fallen Journalists Memorial Act of 2019.”
  • H.R. 4248 (Rep. Cartwright), To amend the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 to allow the Secretary of the Interior to delegate certain emergency reclamation activities to the States and Tribes, and for other purposes. “Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act Amendments of 2019.”
  • H.R. 5552 (Rep. Lowenthal), To amend the Migratory Bird Treaty Act to affirm that the Migratory Bird Treaty Act’s prohibition on the unauthorized take or killing of migratory birds includes incidental take by commercial activities, and to direct the United States Fish and Wildlife Service to regulate such incidental take, and for other purposes. “Migratory Bird Protection Act of 2020.”
