Bishop Statement on Senate Confirmation of Interior Deputy Secretary David Bernhardt

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 24, 2017 -

Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm David Bernhardt as Deputy Secretary of the Department of the Interior:

Deputy Secretary Bernhardt has long been a champion of issues within the jurisdiction of the Committee from tribal sovereignty to water abundance. Having another partner at Interior will only enhance our ability to help people.  I look forward to working with him in his new role.”
