WASHINGTON, D.C., July 24, 2013 -

Reporting H.R. 1410 Out of Committee (Passed 35-5-1. View Roll Call Vote)
This widely bipartisan bill would prevent any additional casinos on newly acquired Indian Lands in the Phoenix, Arizona area until January 2027. The legislation preserves existing gaming compacts that were agreed upon with wide input and consideration from Arizona voters and Tribes.

Grijalva Amendment 052 – Undermines the Purpose of the Underlying Bill (Not Agreed to by Voice Vote)
This amendment completely rewrites the underlying legislation and stands in the way of this bipartisan bill becoming law.
