Environmental Justice Now Tour: Michigan
The citizens of Michigan are suffering from the cumulative impacts of poverty, pollution, neglected infrastructure and climate change. Torrential rains recently destroyed two dams and created a state of emergency. More than 40,000 citizens from Midland were evacuated just before their homes were destroyed. Flint and Detroit are still suffering from endless environmental injustices. Chair Raul M. Grijalva and Congressman Donald McEachin are inviting frontline community members from across the state to speak on the challenges they face and how #EnviroJusticeNow can make their lives healthier and better. Tune in live at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time as we hear from activists and Flint community members on Thursday, July 30.
