On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in 1324 Longworth House Office Building (Hearing Room), the Committee on Natural Resources is scheduled to hold a markup and consider the following bills:
H.R. 729 (Rep. Kilmer), To amend the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 to authorize grants to Indian Tribes to further achievement of Tribal coastal zone objectives, and for other purposes. “Tribal Coastal Resiliency Act.”
H.R. 925 (Rep. Mike Thompson), To extend the authorization of appropriations for allocation to carry out approved wetlands conservation projects under the North American Wetlands Conservation Act through fiscal year 2024. “North American Wetlands Conservation Extension Act.”
H.R. 1472 (Rep. Adrian Smith), To rename the Homestead National Monument of America near Beatrice, Nebraska, as the Homestead National Historical Park.
H.R. 1487 (Rep. Lieu), To direct the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of portions of the Los Angeles coastal area in the State of California to evaluate alternatives for protecting the resources of the coastal area, and for other purposes. “Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Boundary Adjustment Study Act.”
H.R. 1492 (Rep. Tipton), To update the map of, and modify the maximum acreage available for inclusion in, the Yucca House National Monument.“Yucca House National Monument Boundary Revision Act.” Amendments to H.R. 1492 must be drafted to the amendment in the nature of a substitute, attached to this notice.
H.R. 1747 (Rep. Wittman), To encourage partnerships among public agencies and other interested persons to promote fish conservation. “National Fish Habitat Conservation Through Partnerships Act.”
H.R. 2185 (Rep. Norton), To amend the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 to allow the District of Columbia to receive Federal funding under such Act, and for other purposes. “District of Columbia Flood Prevention Act of 2019.”
H.R. 3115 (Rep. Pallone), To direct the Administrator of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to make grants to State and local governments and nongovernmental organizations for purposes of carrying out climate-resilient living shoreline projects that protect coastal communities by supporting ecosystem functions and habitats with the use of natural materials and systems, and for other purposes. “Living Shorelines Act of 2019.”
H.R. 3541 (Rep. Carbajal), To amend the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 to require the Secretary of Commerce to establish a coastal climate change adaptation preparedness and response program, and for other purposes. “Coastal State Climate Preparedness Act of 2019.”
H.R. 3596 (Rep. Pingree), To amend the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972 to establish a Working Waterfront Task Force and a working waterfronts grant program, and for other purposes. “Keep America's Waterfronts Working Act.” Amendments to H.R. 3596 must be drafted to the amendment in the nature of a substitute, attached to this notice.
