This bill would improve and streamline the process for renewing livestock grazing permits and extend the length of permits to give producers a stable economic environment.

This amendment made technical, conforming, and a few substantive changes to the base bill, including several elements of compromise from input by the federal land management agencies allowing for more administrative flexibility.

Markey Amendment #121 – Establishment of Pilot Program (Failed 18-24. View Roll Call Vote)
This amendment would authorize the Administration to conduct a pilot program to collect an additional administrative fee (an additional 75% over the current fee level) from producers on public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management.
