  • H.R. 715 (Grijalva), To expand the boundary of Saguaro National Park, to study additional land for future adjustments to the boundary of the Park, and for other purposes.  "Saguaro National Park Boundary Expansion and Study Act of 2009"
  • H.R. 1061 (Dicks), To transfer certain land to the United States to be held in trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, to place land into trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, and for other purposes.  "Hoh Indian Tribe Safe Homelands Act"
  • H.R. 1121 (Foxx), To authorize a land exchange to acquire lands for the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, and for other purposes.  "Blue Ridge Parkway and Town of Blowing Rock Land Exchange Act of 2009"
  • H.R. 1376 (C. Edwards), To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to establish the Waco Mammoth National Monument in the State of Texas.  "Waco Mammoth National Monument Establishment Act of 2009"
  • H.R. 2314 (Abercrombie), To express the policy of the United States regarding the United States relationship with Native Hawaiians and to provide a process for the recognition by the United States of the Native Hawaiian governing entity.  "Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act of 2009"

COMMITTEE ACTION:

The Committee on Natural Resources met in open markup session on Wednesday, July 9, 2009, and considered the following bills:

H.R. 2314 (Abercrombie), was tabled to a later date.

H.R. 1061 (Dicks), To transfer certain land to the United States to be held in trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, to place land into trust for the Hoh Indian Tribe, and for other purposes.  "Hoh Indian Tribe Safe Homelands Act"

An amendment in the nature of a substitute offered by Mr. Rahall was AGREED TO by voice vote.

Favorably reported to the House of Representatives, as amended, by voice vote.

The Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands was discharged from further consideration of H.R. 715.
