Floor Action: Committee Members Speak on Plan to Create Jobs and Expand Hydropower
Committee Chairman Hastings, Water and Power Subcommittee Chairman McClintock, Reps. Tipton and Gosar in support of H.R. 678

On Wednesday, April 10, 2013 the House of Representatives Passed H.R. 678, the Bureau of Reclamation Small Conduit Hydropower Development and Rural Jobs Act, with a bipartisan vote of 416-7. The bill is designed to create new American jobs and expand production of clean, renewable hydropower by eliminating bureaucratic and regulatory hurdles.

Watch Natural Resources Committee Chairman Doc Hastings, Subcommittee on Water and Power Chairman Tom McClintock, and bill sponsors Rep. Scott Tipton and Rep. Paul Gosar voice their support for the legislation.
