Background:

This hearing will focus on the jobs, energy, and economic benefits related to the development of our natural resources in the Power River Basin in Wyoming and Montana. Coal provides America with reliable and affordable energy along with countless direct and indirect jobs. Currently, coal and the jobs that go with it are under attack by the Obama administration with increased regulations and red-tape, and it’s important to continue to utilize this energy resource as part of a true all-of-the-above energy approach.
